King Kong Fran

Directing - Playwriting

The show *King Kong Fran* is a comedic monologue that blends cabaret, circus, and theater to subvert sexist logic and challenge gender stereotypes. Starring actress and clown Rafaela Azevedo (creator of the character Fran), the one-woman show is directed and written by her and Pedro Bricio, with musical direction by singer Letrux.

Using humor and irony, Fran turns prejudices on their head and interacts directly with the audience, making men taste their “own medicine” as they experience the same embarrassment and harassment that women endure on a daily basis.
